Community planning is about everyone in a community, not just one group. You cannot be expected to become an expert on the needs of every different group - but you can and will be expected to make your process open to and inclusive of everyone. If you would like to learn more about LGBT issues or would like to begin making contact with some of the LGBT people and/or groups in your area, here are some good starting places.
Many of the groups listed below will have resources you can request for free or a small fee, such as posters, safer sex information and coming out guides. These can be a useful way of making your workspace an LGBT friendly place and can also be good for new public services.
